Junk removal in Qualicum Beach starts at $125, with a quarter of our 15-yard trailer at $300 and a full load at $850, and you hear the number before a single item leaves the house. The town is inside our core coverage, so timing depends on the day and the job. Lifting, hauling, disposal fees and taxes are all in the price, and we sweep up before we go.
Qualicum Beach calls tend to be about volume gathered over decades: a family home being emptied for sale, an estate that needs clearing before the listing photos, a move into something smaller near the village. We treat that kind of job as sorting work, not just hauling. Anything sentimental or saleable gets flagged before it goes near the trailer, and furniture with life left in it is delivered to charity instead of buried.

Past the village, Qualicum Bay, Coombs and Errington properties bring us bigger, messier work: collapsed outbuildings, years of accumulated brush and scrap, lots that need clearing before a build. For those we can bring machine help along with the trailer. The photo below is a lot we finished nearby, with our mini excavator still parked on the cleared ground.
Nothing has to be moved outside first. We walk the property with you, go over the estimate against what is actually there, and then start loading. Final pricing is based on actual loaded volume, with weight, labour and applicable surcharges considered. Everything gets carried by the crew, from upstairs rooms and crawlspaces to the far corner of an acreage, and the spot is swept before we leave.
Sending a photo ahead gets you a number before anyone drives out. Flag anything heavy or hard to reach at that point, along with items carrying their own disposal charges such as fridges and freezers, mattresses and box springs, tires or propane tanks. Long carries down a driveway and stairs can add labour past the included first hour. It all gets raised at the estimate where we can see it, and on the day if it only becomes clear once we start.
Emptying a long-lived-in home turns up a lot that still has value, so the load gets sorted rather than tipped. Usable furniture and housewares go to local charity, metal is separated for scrap, electronics reach the proper depot, and mattresses go to a facility that strips them for materials. Only what is genuinely finished goes to the landfill. That sorting is included in the load price.
Every service below runs in Qualicum Beach, Qualicum Bay, Bowser, Coombs and Errington on the same load rates as Nanaimo, with any travel or fuel surcharge quoted before the work. Follow any of them for what is included, how the job is priced, and photos of real work.
All of these are covered on the same runs on the same load rates, with any travel or fuel surcharge quoted before the work. A recent driveway clearance in Dashwood is on our projects page if you want to see the kind of work we do up this way.
You pay for trailer space, not time. You get a free estimate before anything gets loaded, and the load price covers the lifting, hauling, disposal fees and a sweep up after. Final pricing is based on actual loaded volume, with weight, labour and applicable surcharges considered, and travel can apply the further out you are. Full details on the pricing page.

Straight answers, the same ones we give on the phone.
It starts at $125 for a minimum pickup. From there the 15-yard trailer sets the price: $300 for a quarter load, $500 for a half, $675 for three quarters, $850 full. Lifting, hauling, disposal fees and taxes are included, you get an estimate before we load anything, and the final charge follows the volume and material actually loaded. Extra charges can apply for weight, specialty items, access or travel, so ask us about your specific situation and we will lay it out before anything is booked.
As soon as we have availability, so call or text and ask what is open. Qualicum Beach is part of our core service area and we run 7 days a week from 6am to 8pm. Texting a photo of the pile gets you an estimate back quickly.
Yes, regularly. We can clear an entire home in one visit or work through it in stages with the family, set aside anything valuable or sentimental we come across, and donate usable furniture and housewares locally. Realtors preparing a home for sale use us for exactly this.
Yes. All three ride on the same runs as Qualicum Beach, on the same load rates. Call or text and we will tell you what we have open. Rural properties and acreage jobs out that way are some of our favourite work.
Yes. Brush, prunings, fence boards, shed contents and light demolition debris all load fine. Very heavy material like soil or concrete can carry a surcharge because of weight, so mention it when you book and we will price it upfront like everything else.
Furniture, mattresses and box springs, appliances including fridges and freezers, electronics and TVs, hot tubs, yard waste and brush, renovation and demolition debris, scrap metal, garage and outbuilding contents, and general household junk. We also demolish sheds, decks and fences and haul the debris. The main exclusions are liquid paint and fuels, asbestos and commercial chemical waste, though hazardous and contaminated cleanouts are offered as a separate specialised service.
No. We take it from wherever it sits, including upstairs rooms, crawlspaces, outbuildings and the far end of an acreage. Nothing needs bagging, sorting or carrying beforehand, and you do not need to be able to lift. Pile it up if you prefer, though the price follows the volume either way.
The load price includes lifting, hauling, disposal fees, taxes and the first hour of labour. Additional labour beyond that is $100 per hour per load. Certain items carry specialty disposal charges, including mattresses and box springs, tires, propane tanks, unusually heavy materials and appliances needing special handling. Anything applicable is identified before the job begins. Additions can apply depending on the items, the weight, the access and the location, so send us the details and we will go through your specific situation.
Yes. Junk Matters is fully insured, registered and in good standing with WorkSafeBC, and a member of both the Recycling Council of British Columbia and the Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce. We are rated 5.0 across 130+ Google reviews, which matters when a crew is working through a family home.
Four steps. First the free estimate: call, text or send photos of the pile and we will come back to you with a number. Second, we arrive when we said we would. Third, the crew walks the job with you, goes over the estimate, and only then does every bit of the lifting and hauling from wherever the junk sits. Fourth, everything is sorted for donation, recycling or disposal, and the space gets swept before we leave. Final pricing is based on actual loaded volume, with weight, labour and applicable surcharges considered.
The first hour of labour is included in the load price. Beyond that, additional labour is $100 per hour, per load. That comes up on jobs spread over several floors, long carries from the truck, or items that need heavy sorting or taking apart before they will move. Anything like that is talked through at the estimate where the conditions are known, and raised with you on the day if it only becomes clear once we are working. Depending on the items, their weight, the access and where you are, additional charges can apply. Tell us what you have and we will walk through your situation first.
