Junk MattersYou Matter - We Matter - Junk Matters

You pay for the space you use.

The price comes down to how much room your load takes up in the trailer, the first hour of labour is included per load, and you get an estimate before anything gets lifted. The final charge is worked out from what actually goes in, so volume, weight, material, access and labour can all affect it.

Find your load size.

Tap a size to see what fits and what it costs. Most residential jobs land between $300 and $850. These sizes give you an estimate, and final pricing is based on actual loaded volume, with weight, labour and applicable surcharges considered.

A real half load: appliances, lumber and household debris filling about half the Junk Matters trailer
Half load · $500 · ~7.5 cubic yards

Examples are approximate: final volume is based on the space your items occupy in our 15-cubic-yard trailer.

What the price includes

  • All the lifting and carrying, from wherever it sits
  • Loading, hauling, the disposal fees at the other end, and the taxes
  • Sorting for donation and recycling before the landfill
  • A sweep up of the space once it is empty

What can change it

  • The first hour of labour is in the load price. Beyond that it is $100 per hour, per load.
  • Junk spread over several floors, or a long carry from the truck.
  • Heavy sorting, bagging or taking something apart before it will move.
  • Tight access. Any of this is talked through at the estimate, or raised with you on the day if it only shows up once we start.

Getting your number

  • Text a photo of what needs to go and we will come back with an estimate.
  • Or we take a look on arrival and price it there, with no obligation.
  • You get an estimate before we load, and the final number reflects what actually goes in the trailer.

Additional Disposal & Specialty Charges

Some items may require additional charges due to disposal fees, weight, handling requirements or special recycling. These can include mattresses and box springs, tires, propane tanks, unusually heavy materials/items, appliances requiring special handling, and hazardous or contaminated materials. Dense loads are worth flagging separately: soil, concrete, dense construction debris, scrap metal, tile and boxes of books, files or tools can reach the trailer's safe weight limit before it is full by volume, which can mean a weight charge or a second load.

Any applicable surcharges will be identified before the job begins whenever the items and conditions are known. See hazardous and contaminated cleanouts for that service's separate labour-based rates.

Or build it, item by item.
